|
Golf legend, Greg Norman welcomed Merrill Lynch as the new title partner of
the 18th Annual Merrill Lynch Shootout held November 8-12 at the Tiburón Golf
Club and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. Since 1989,
CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation has been the tournament's
primary charitable beneficiary.
This year, Greg Norman invited Gregory and Kaitlyn Lang from Naples, Florida -
brother and sister who
are surviving their
personal childhood
cancer diagnoses -
to attend the Shootout
and share their story with
the players and other
tournament guests.
Providing support for children who have faced a life altering challenge
April 20th and April 21st Gregory is being honored at the 1st
Annual NAGA (National Amputee Golf Association) Golf
Tournament when it is to be announced and renamed as follows:
NAGA Celebrity/Amputee Golf Tournament in Honor of Gregory Lang
Gregory will be playing 18 holes on Friday with a "to be announced" celebrity and he and his
mother, Ann, will be speaking at the luncheon to follow the days round. Growing up an amputee
has been terrifically challenging for Gregory but he has never allowed it to affect his spirit striving
for excellence in sports. After trying many different sports throughout his youth including Track
and Field, Basketball and Baseball Gregory realized that the sport he truly loves and enjoys
thoroughly is GOLF!!! To be honored with NAGA naming this tournament after him is
indescribable for Gregory and he has decided that a portion of the Foundations proceeds will be
given to the scholarship fund at NAGA so young, up and coming, fellow golf lovers will benefit
from his foundation and continue furthering their education in college.
Please continue checking back to see pictures from this outstanding event and how you can
